In the competitive world of industrial welding, efficiency and quality are paramount. The Aquasol EZ Zone Aluminum Weld Backing Tape (2.5″ x 75′) offers a revolutionary solution to traditional back purging methods. Designed to streamline the welding process for stainless steel and aluminum pipes, plates, and vessels, this tape acts as a physical barrier against oxidation, ensuring a pristine root pass without the excessive consumption of shielding gases.

For fabrication shops and field welders alike, the cost of inert gas for back purging can be substantial. EZ Zone tape eliminates this requirement by sealing the root gap from the backside. The tape features a unique construction: two outer adhesive strips separated by a center “zone” of adhesive-free aluminum foil. This design ensures that no adhesive residue comes into contact with the weld pool, preventing contamination and porosity. The result is an X-ray quality weld that meets stringent industry standards.

Using EZ Zone tape significantly reduces setup time. Traditional purging requires setting up dams, hoses, and waiting for the oxygen levels to drop. With EZ Zone, you simply apply the tape over the seam on the backside, and you are ready to weld. This 2.5-inch wide version provides ample coverage for standard gaps, while the 75-foot roll ensures you have plenty of material for large projects. It is heat-resistant and conforms easily to curved surfaces, making it indispensable for pipe welding applications.

At Josef Gas, we understand the importance of reliable consumables. This backing tape not only saves money on gas but also reduces labor costs associated with post-weld cleaning and grinding. The aluminum foil supports the molten pool, allowing for a flatter, more consistent bead profile. Whether you are working in the food and beverage industry, pharmaceuticals, or general fabrication, EZ Zone Aluminum Weld Backing Tape is a strategic addition to your welding toolkit.

Aluminum Weld Backing Tape is a substitute for traditional back purging methods and provides protection to the backside of the weld environment and ensures a high quality finish.
[1975,1985

post-1751527","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-tools-wrenches-power-tools","product_cat-welders-accessories","pa_brand-aquasol","pa_brand-techniweld","pa_item-n-a","pa_item-weld-backing-tape","pa_length-75-feet","pa_material-aluminum","pa_packaging-description-1-of-each","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
