The Esab Sureweld E7014 is a premium quality, iron powder, titania-type stick electrode designed for the high-speed welding of mild steel. Engineered with a heavy coating containing iron powder, this electrode offers significantly improved deposition rates compared to standard E6012 or E6013 rods. The 2.5mm diameter makes it versatile for various material thicknesses, providing a balance between penetration and bead control. It is classified under AWS A5.1 standards, ensuring consistent mechanical properties and performance reliability for industrial applications.

One of the defining characteristics of the Sureweld E7014 is its ability to handle higher amperage settings without the risk of undercutting the base metal. This feature allows operators to increase travel speeds, thereby boosting productivity in fabrication environments. The electrode produces a smooth, finely rippled bead with a flat to slightly convex profile. The slag system is formulated for easy detachment; in many flat and horizontal fillet welds, the slag is practically self-peeling, reducing post-weld cleanup time and labor costs.

This electrode is characterized by a smooth, quiet arc with very low spatter levels. It operates effectively on both AC and DC currents (either polarity), making it compatible with a wide range of power sources, including smaller buzz boxes and industrial rectifiers. While it is an all-position rod, its fast-freeze characteristics are balanced by the heavy slag volume, making it most efficient in flat and horizontal positions. However, skilled operators can utilize it effectively for vertical and overhead welds where higher deposition is required.

The Esab Sureweld E7014 is an excellent choice for applications requiring good bead appearance and structural integrity. It bridges gaps reasonably well due to its medium penetration profile. The rod is widely utilized in the manufacturing of metal fixtures, automotive components, and general structural steel fabrication where efficiency and finish quality are paramount.

Sureweld 7014 is an iron powder coated electrode permitting the use of higher welding currents while improving the depositon rate.
[1961,1959

post-1751050","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-steel-electrodes","product_cat-welding-wires-and-electrodes","pa_amp-range-100-160amp","pa_amp-range-75-110amp","pa_aws-spec-e7014","pa_brand-esab","pa_diameter-2-5mm","pa_packaging-description-2-27kg-tube","pa_polarity-ac-dc","pa_position-all","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
