The Walter SURFOX-N Neutralizer (SKU: 54A023) is a critical chemical component in the electrochemical weld cleaning and passivation process. Designed specifically for use with the SURFOX system, this 500ml spray solution addresses the chemical necessity of neutralizing mineral acid residues that remain on stainless steel surfaces after the cleaning phase. Electrochemical cleaning utilizes electrolyte solutions, such as SURFOX-T or SURFOX Renew, which contain phosphoric or other mineral acids to remove heat tint and oxides. While effective at cleaning, these acids must be completely neutralized to halt their chemical activity. Failure to neutralize effectively can lead to continued etching of the substrate or the formation of salt deposits, often manifesting as a hazy white discoloration around the weld zone.

Rinsing with water alone is insufficient for this process. Water merely dilutes the acid concentration but does not chemically neutralize the low pH active ingredients. SURFOX-N is formulated to react with the remaining acidic ions, bringing the surface pH back to a neutral state. This reaction prevents the formation of insoluble salts that mar the finish of high-quality stainless steel fabrication. Furthermore, SURFOX-N is also effective for cleaning and neutralizing SURFOX-G, another electrolyte in the Walter lineup. The solution is SCAQMD compliant, aligning with modern safety and environmental standards for industrial chemicals.

The 500ml sprayer format offers precise application control, allowing operators to target specific weld seams without excessive waste. This product is an indispensable step in the SURFOX workflow, ensuring that the passivation layer of the stainless steel is fully restored and that the aesthetic quality of the metal is preserved. By integrating SURFOX-N into the post-cleaning regimen, fabricators ensure the longevity and corrosion resistance of their stainless steel assemblies.

Standard pak of 12.

Must be used to clean and neutralize sufox electrolyte solutions.

SCAQMD Compliant.

Revents the formation of salt deposits (hazy white Discolouring) around welds cleaned with Surfox.
[2021,2026

post-1750995","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-chemicals","product_cat-cleaners-and-degreasers","pa_brand-walter","pa_format-spray","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each","pa_packaging-description-12-per-case","pa_product-cleaner","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
