Designed for use with SURFOX electrochemical cleaning systems, this 1.5-liter solution effectively removes heat tint, discoloration, and light scaling from TIG, Spot, and Pulsed MIG welds. Unlike traditional mechanical removal methods that can alter the surface finish, SURFOX-T restores the original passivation of the stainless steel surface without scratching or dulling the material.

Safety and Compliance

One of the standout features of SURFOX-T is its commitment to operator safety and environmental responsibility. It is a safe alternative to pickling pastes and harsh acids, being completely free from hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid. This formulation significantly reduces the health risks associated with weld cleaning fumes and skin contact. Furthermore, the solution is NSF registered, making it suitable for use in food and beverage processing facilities where cleanliness and non-toxicity are paramount. It is also ASTM A967 (ASTM 380) certified for passivation, ensuring that your stainless steel parts meet rigorous industry standards for corrosion resistance.

Performance and Application

This heavy-duty electrolyte is composed of phosphoric acid and specialized additives that enhance conductivity and cleaning speed. It is specifically engineered for:

TIG Welds: Rapidly removes blue heat tint and oxidation.

Spot Welds: Cleans burn marks effectively.

Pulsed MIG Welds: Handles the heavier scaling often associated with MIG welding.

The liquid is clear and odorless, providing a pleasant working environment. By using the electrochemical process, SURFOX-T promotes the formation of a passive chromium oxide layer on the stainless steel surface, protecting it from future corrosion. This 1.5-liter bottle is an ideal size for workshops requiring a portable yet substantial supply of cleaning fluid.

[2021,2026

post-1750994","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-chemicals","product_cat-cleaners-and-degreasers","pa_brand-walter","pa_format-liquid","pa_packaging-description-1-5-litre-jug","pa_product-cleaner","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple

Walter SURFOX-T Heavy-Duty Weld Cleaning Electrolyte 1.5L - Josef Gas

<meta name="description" content="Buy Walter SURFOX-T Weld Cleaning Solution (1.5L) 54A005.
