The 3M E-A-R TaperFit 2 Uncorded Earplugs (SKU: 312-1219) are a staple in industrial safety, providing superior noise attenuation and all-day comfort. Designed for versatility and efficacy, these earplugs feature a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 32 dB, making them suitable for high-decibel environments such as manufacturing plants, construction sites, and metal fabrication shops. The plugs are manufactured from soft, slow-recovery polyurethane foam that is dermatologically safe and non-irritating to the skin.

The defining feature of the TaperFit 2 is its tapered design, which allows for easy insertion into the ear canal. Once inserted, the foam gently expands to create a custom seal against the ear canal walls. This self-adjusting nature ensures that the earplugs fit a wide variety of ear canal sizes and shapes while maintaining a low-pressure fit that reduces wearer fatigue during long shifts. The smooth, soil-resistant skin of the earplug prevents dirt and grime from adhering to the surface, promoting better hygiene in dirty work environments.

This product is supplied in a dispenser-ready box containing 200 individually poly-bagged pairs. The individual packaging ensures that each pair remains sanitary until the moment of use, a critical requirement for compliance in shared workspaces. As an uncorded model, these earplugs are particularly safe for use around moving machinery where cords could present a snagging hazard. The 3M TaperFit 2 represents a cost-effective, high-performance solution for bulk hearing protection requirements.

These earplugs are CSA Class AL certified and test compatible with the 3M E-A-Rfit Validation System, allowing safety managers to verify the protection levels for their employees. The bright yellow color aids in compliance checks, allowing supervisors to easily verify that hearing protection is being worn from a distance.

[2015,2017

post-1750931","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-head-mouth-face-safety","product_cat-respirators-ear-protection","pa_brand-3m","pa_item-ear-plug","pa_item-ear-plug-2","pa_material-polyurethane-foam-2","pa_packaging-description-200-pairs-in-box","pa_packaging-description-200-pairs-in-box-2","pa_size-regular","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
