The 3M Adflo Spark Arrestor (15-0009-99X02) is a vital protective component engineered for the 3M Adflo Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) system. Functioning as the primary mechanical barrier within the filtration assembly, this metallic mesh screen is designed to intercept and extinguish airborne sparks, hot spatter, and large particulate matter generated during industrial processes. Its placement within the turbo filter cover, anterior to the pre-filter, ensures that potential ignition sources are neutralized before they can contact the combustible filter media.

In industrial environments where grinding and high-amperage welding are commonplace, the risk of filter combustion is a significant safety concern. The spark arrestor mitigates this risk by physically blocking hot debris while maintaining the necessary airflow for the PAPR unit to function correctly. It is manufactured from durable materials capable of withstanding high temperatures, ensuring reliability during extended use. Regular inspection of this component is critical; accumulation of soot or physical deformation of the mesh can impede airflow or reduce protective efficacy.

This product is supplied as a case of two, facilitating adherence to maintenance schedules. It is fully compatible with the standard 3M Adflo turbo unit used in conjunction with Speedglas welding helmets. By preventing thermal damage to the pre-filter and the high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter, the spark arrestor not only enhances safety but also contributes to the cost-effective operation of the respiratory system by prolonging the service life of downstream consumables.

3M Adflo Spark Arrestor is a replacement spark arrestor for 3M Adflo Powered Air Purifying Respirator.

Installs into the 3M Adflo Turbo Filter Cover.
[1970,1971

post-1750904","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-gloves-leather-sleeves-aprons","product_cat-gloves-leathers-sleeves-aprons","pa_application-grinding","pa_application-welding","pa_brand-3m","pa_item-apron","pa_material-metal-mesh","pa_material-n-a","pa_packaging-description-1-of-each","pa_packaging-description-2-per-pak","pa_size-n-a","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
