The Miller Weldcraft 17GL18 Stubby Gas Lens is a game-changer for welders who frequently find themselves working in tight corners or restricted spaces. Standard TIG torches in the 17, 18, and 26 series are known for their durability and amperage capacity, but their large head size can sometimes be a hindrance in precision automotive or aerospace applications. This “stubby” gas lens solves that problem by dramatically reducing the overall length of your torch’s front end, effectively giving you the maneuverability of a smaller torch without sacrificing the power capacity of your larger rig.

Beyond just size reduction, this gas lens utilizes a multi-layer mesh screen to smooth out the flow of shielding gas. Unlike standard collet bodies that can create turbulent gas expulsion, the 17GL18 produces a coherent, laminar stream of argon. This laminar flow wraps the weld pool more effectively, reducing the risk of atmospheric contamination and porosity. It also allows you to extend your tungsten electrode further out from the nozzle—up to an inch in some conditions—giving you significantly better visibility of the arc and the puddle without losing shielding protection.

When it comes to TIG consumables, precision manufacturing matters. These genuine Miller Weldcraft parts are machined to exact tolerances to ensure perfect conductivity and thread fitment. Poorly made generic lenses can suffer from uneven gas distribution or poor electrical contact, leading to arc instability. With the 17GL18, you get consistent performance and a stable arc, ensuring your welds meet the highest standards of quality. This package contains two gas lenses, ensuring you have a spare on hand for critical jobs.

[2047,2048

post-1750810","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-tig-accessories","product_cat-tig-consumables","pa_brand-miller","pa_brand-weldcraft","pa_diameter-3-2mm-2","pa_item-gas-lense","pa_item-gas-lense-2","pa_packaging-description-2-in-a-pack-2","pa_packaging-description-2pc-per-pak","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple

Superior Gas Coverage
