The Walter Coolcut XX 5″ Sanding Disc (SKU: 15X508) represents the pinnacle of productivity in industrial abrasive applications. Designed for fabrication shops and heavy-duty manufacturing environments, these discs are engineered to deliver a cutting rate that is two times faster than conventional sanding discs. This significant increase in speed translates directly to reduced labor costs and higher throughput for your operations. The 80 grit composition is perfect for intermediate blending, surface preparation, and light weld removal, providing a balance between aggression and finish quality.

One of the standout features of the Coolcut XX line is its advanced thermal management. The discs are impregnated with specialized cooling agents that actively reduce friction and heat generation at the contact point. This is critical when working with heat-sensitive materials such as stainless steel and aluminum, where overheating can lead to discoloration, warping, or metallurgical changes. By keeping the workpiece cooler, these discs ensure the integrity of the metal is maintained throughout the grinding process.

Versatility is key in modern MRO and fabrication settings. The Walter 15X508 is compatible with a wide range of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and various alloys. This universal applicability allows inventory consolidation, as a single disc type can handle multiple substrates effectively. Sold in a convenient pack of 25, these discs are a cost-effective solution for high-volume users who demand consistent performance and longevity from their consumables.
