Industrial Grade Sanding with Walter COOLCUT Technology

The Walter COOLCUT 5″ Sanding Disc (15C506) is a premium abrasive solution designed for fabrication shops and industrial environments where efficiency and finish quality are paramount. Engineered with high-quality aluminum oxide grains, these resin fibre discs deliver a consistent removal rate while maintaining a cool temperature on the workpiece. This “cool cutting” action is critical when working with heat-sensitive metals or thin-gauge steel, as it significantly reduces the risk of warping, discoloration, and blueing that can compromise the structural integrity or aesthetic of the final product.

With a 60 grit rating, this disc sits perfectly in the intermediate range of abrasives. It is aggressive enough to handle light weld removal and surface leveling but refined enough to prepare surfaces for painting or further finishing steps. The 5-inch diameter combined with a standard 7/8-inch arbor ensures compatibility with a wide range of industrial angle grinders, making it a versatile staple for any tool crib. The durable fibre backing provides the necessary rigidity to apply pressure during grinding without tearing or premature failure.

Supplied in a cost-effective pack of 25, the 15C506 is ideal for high-volume operations. Whether you are cleaning steel plates, blending welds, or removing rust and scale, the Walter COOLCUT series offers a reliable performance-to-cost ratio. By minimizing downtime associated with frequent disc changes and reducing rework caused by heat damage, these discs help streamline production workflows.

Key Industrial Benefits
