The Walter 13L604 is a high-performance 6-inch twist knot wire wheel brush engineered for the most demanding industrial applications. Specifically designed as a “stringer bead” brush, it features a narrow 3/8-inch face width that allows it to penetrate deep into V-grooves and expansion joints, making it an essential tool for pipeline welders and fabricators. The brush is constructed with premium oil-hardened and tempered carbon steel wire, ensuring consistent aggression and a long service life even under heavy load.

Vibration is a major concern in handheld grinding operations. Walter Surface Technologies manufactures these brushes with individual knot balancing, ensuring that every wheel runs smoothly and concentrically. This precise balance significantly reduces operator fatigue (HAVS) and prevents premature wear on angle grinder bearings. The integrated 5/8″-11 threaded arbor allows for fast, tool-free mounting on standard angle grinders, ensuring a secure fit that improves safety and efficiency on the job site.

This brush is rated for a maximum speed of 9,000 RPM, optimized for use with 6-inch angle grinders. The twisted knot design provides high-impact action, effectively removing heavy slag, thick rust, scale, and spatter without removing base material. It is the ideal choice for inter-pass cleaning during multi-pass welding operations, particularly in the oil and gas industry where weld integrity is paramount.

For use with Angle Grinders.

These brushes are made from top quality wire that is perfectly knotted and balanced to minimize vibration and maximize user safety.
[2000,2010

post-1750757","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-abrasives","product_cat-bench-grinding-wheels","pa_arbor-in-5-8","pa_arbor-in-5-8-5-8","pa_brand-walter","pa_brand-walter-walter","pa_diameter-in-523","pa_diameter-in-6-6","pa_packaging-description-1-in-a-pack","pa_used-to-grind-steel","pa_used-to-grind-steel-steel","pa_wheel-style-twist-knot","pa_wheel-style-twist-knot-twist-knot","pa_width-in-3-8","pa_width-in-3-8-3-8","pa_wire-type-stringer-bead","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
