The Walter 13L504 Wire Wheel Brush is a premium abrasive tool designed for heavy-duty industrial applications. Engineered by Walter Surface Technologies, this 5-inch diameter brush features high-tensile carbon steel wire, meticulously arranged to withstand the rigors of aggressive surface cleaning. With a face width of 3/8 inch, it is specifically optimized for accessing tight spaces, such as pipe bevels and weld seams, making it an essential tool for pipeline construction and metal fabrication facilities.

One of the standout characteristics of this wire wheel is its superior rotational balance. Unbalanced brushes can cause excessive vibration, leading to premature tool wear and operator injury (HAVS). Walter’s manufacturing process ensures that every 13L504 unit runs smoothly, protecting both the angle grinder’s bearings and the user’s hands. The 5/8-inch arbor ensures compatibility with a wide range of standard angle grinders, allowing for seamless integration into existing tool inventories.

Durability is paramount in MRO environments. The steel wires on this brush are heat-treated and crimped or knotted (depending on the specific sub-series configuration, typically knot for this application profile) to resist fatigue and breakage. This results in a longer service life and fewer brush changes, ultimately reducing consumable costs. Whether removing heavy rust, mill scale, or post-weld slag, the Walter 13L504 delivers consistent cutting action from the first pass to the last.

Safety is also a key design element. The secure wire retention system minimizes wire fly-off, a common hazard with lower-quality brushes. However, appropriate PPE, including eye and face protection, is always required during operation. This brush is rated for high-speed use, allowing operators to maximize the efficiency of their power tools while maintaining a high standard of surface finish.

For use with Angle Grinders.

These brushes are made from top quality wire that is perfectly knotted and balanced to minimize vibration and maximize user safety.
[2000,2010

post-1750755","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-abrasives","product_cat-bench-grinding-wheels","pa_arbor-in-5-8","pa_brand-walter","pa_diameter-in-549","pa_item-brush","pa_packaging-description-1-in-a-pack","pa_used-to-grind-steel","pa_wheel-style-brush","pa_width-in-3-8","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
