The Walter 13G604 is a high-performance 6-inch cup brush engineered for industrial surface preparation and finishing. This abrasive tool features a knot-twisted wire configuration, utilizing 0.020-inch carbon steel wire that has been oil-hardened and tempered. This specific metallurgical treatment ensures that the wires maintain their stiffness and cutting integrity even under high thermal loads generated during aggressive brushing operations.

A distinguishing technical feature of this model is the inclusion of a safety support ring. In standard cup brushes, centrifugal force and operational pressure can cause wires to flare outward prematurely, reducing the effective cutting angle and leading to wire fatigue. The support ring on the 13G604 constrains the wire bundles, maintaining a tighter, more aggressive face profile for a longer duration. As the wire wears down, the user can remove the ring to expose the remaining wire length, effectively maximizing the usable abrasive material.

The brush is balanced to tight tolerances to minimize vibration, which protects the bearings of the power tool and reduces operator fatigue (HAVS). It is designed with a standard 5/8″-11 threaded arbor for direct mounting onto compatible angle grinders. With a maximum rotational speed of 6,600 RPM, it is optimized for heavy material removal tasks on large steel surfaces.

For use with Angle Grinders.

These are knot-twisted with a safety supporting ring for heavy duty brushing such as deburring, weld edge cleaning, spatter, heavy rust, corrosion and removal of scale.
[2000,2008

post-1750746","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-abrasives","product_cat-cup-wheel-and-cup-brushes","pa_arbor-in-5-8","pa_brand-walter","pa_diameter-in-523","pa_packaging-description-1-in-a-pack","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each","pa_used-to-grind-steel","pa_wheel-style-twist-knot","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
