The Walter 13G504 is a premium 5-inch knot twisted cup brush designed for the most demanding industrial cleaning applications. Engineered by Walter Surface Technologies, this brush is part of the high-performance line of abrasives known for durability and safety. The standout feature of this model is its integrated safety supporting ring. This metal ring encircles the wire knots, preventing them from flaring out prematurely under high rotational speeds. By controlling the wire flare, the brush maintains a tighter, more aggressive face for longer periods, allowing for efficient removal of heavy scale, rust, and paint from large steel surfaces.

Balance is critical when operating angle grinders for extended periods. Walter brushes are manufactured with precision balancing to ensure smooth operation with minimal vibration. This reduces wear on the power tool’s bearings and significantly lowers operator fatigue, leading to safer and more productive work shifts. The 13G504 is specifically designed for use on carbon steel; its high-tensile wire construction resists bending and breaking even when tackling stubborn contaminants.

As the brush wires eventually wear down during use, the safety supporting ring can be easily knocked off, exposing the remaining length of the twisted knots. This innovative design essentially provides two stages of life for a single brush, maximizing the value of your abrasive consumables. Whether you are working in a shipyard, a structural steel fabrication plant, or a general maintenance facility, this cup brush delivers the consistent performance required for professional surface preparation.

Choosing the right abrasive tool can drastically impact project timelines. The aggressive nature of the knot-twisted design makes this brush far superior to crimped wire alternatives when dealing with hard encrustations. It cuts through layers of oxidation and old coatings quickly, leaving a clean surface ready for welding, painting, or coating. Compatible with standard 5-inch angle grinders featuring a 5/8″-11 threaded spindle, it is a versatile addition to any industrial tool crib.

High Performance Cleaning of Large Surface Areas.

Aggressive brushing action.

Perfect balance.

Safety supporting ring.

Smooth action.

Top quality wire.
[2000,2008

post-1750744","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-abrasives","product_cat-cup-wheel-and-cup-brushes","pa_arbor-in-5-8","pa_brand-walter","pa_diameter-in-549","pa_packaging-description-1-of-1","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each","pa_used-to-grind-steel","pa_used-to-grind-steel-or-stainless","pa_wheel-style-twist-knot","pa_wire-type-knot-twisted-2","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple

Key Industrial Benefits
