The Walter ZIP™ Cut-Off Wheel (SKU: 11L413) represents the pinnacle of abrasive technology for small-diameter cutting applications. Designed specifically for straight shaft and die grinders, this 4-inch wheel features a 3/8-inch arbor, making it an essential consumable for metal fabrication shops, maintenance departments, and industrial manufacturing environments. Manufactured in Germany, these wheels are engineered to deliver consistent, high-performance results on the toughest materials.

One of the defining characteristics of the ZIP™ series is its ability to cut cool. Heat generation during cutting is a primary cause of workpiece discoloration, warping, and metallurgical changes, particularly in stainless steel. Walter has formulated these wheels with a proprietary blend of abrasive grains and bonding agents that dissipate heat effectively. This ensures that the structural integrity of the metal is maintained, and the risk of contamination or corrosion is minimized. The wheel is free of iron, sulfur, and chlorine, making it guaranteed safe for use on stainless steel applications.

Efficiency in industrial operations is measured by material removal rates and downtime. The 11L413 wheel excels in both areas. Its 1/16-inch thickness allows for a narrow kerf, meaning less material is wasted and the cut is performed faster. Despite its thin profile, the wheel is reinforced to withstand the stresses of high-speed rotation and cutting pressure. This balance of speed and durability results in excellent wheel life, reducing the frequency of wheel changes and thereby increasing overall productivity. Sold in a pack of 25, this product ensures you have ample supply for high-volume projects.

While optimized for cutting, the robust construction of the ZIP™ wheel allows it to handle the demands of various metalworking tasks. It is the ideal choice for cutting tubing, small bars, and sheet metal where a standard angle grinder cannot reach. Whether working with carbon steel or sensitive stainless steel alloys, operators can rely on the Walter 11L413 for smooth, vibration-free cutting that leaves a clean edge, often eliminating the need for deburring.

[2000,2004

post-1750699","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-abrasives","product_cat-zipcut","pa_arbor-in-3-8","pa_brand-walter","pa_diameter-in-4-5","pa_diameter-in-882","pa_packaging-description-25-per-each","pa_packaging-description-25-per-pack","pa_thickness-in-1-16","pa_used-to-cut-steel-or-stainless","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
