The Walter Surface Technologies FX™ Cleaning Wheel (SKU: 07X660) represents a significant advancement in non-woven abrasive technology. Designed for industrial maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), this 6-inch wheel is engineered to deliver consistent surface conditioning results across a variety of metallic substrates. The wheel features a high-density, non-woven synthetic web impregnated with aggressive abrasive grains. This construction allows for the rapid removal of surface contaminants such as rust, paint, scale, and coatings without compromising the dimensional integrity of the workpiece.

One of the primary technical advantages of the FX series is its resistance to loading. When working with soft metals like aluminum or non-ferrous alloys, traditional abrasives often clog, reducing efficiency and increasing heat generation. The FX wheel’s open-web structure facilitates debris clearance, maintaining a consistent cut rate and preventing heat buildup that could lead to warping or discoloration. The 1/2-inch width and 1/2-inch arbor configuration make it compatible with a range of stationary and portable power tools, providing versatility in workshop environments.

Durability is a core characteristic of the 07X660. The high-density composition ensures that the wheel retains its shape and cutting ability over an extended service life, significantly outperforming standard density non-woven wheels. It is specifically optimized for use on edge-narrow contact areas, allowing operators to apply maximum pressure for stubborn contaminant removal without inducing rapid wear. This wheel is an essential consumable for fabrication shops requiring precision surface preparation and finishing on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.

FX abrasives quickly remove paint, rust, scale, coating, burn marks and gaskets without loading and clogging.
[2000,2006

post-1750633","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-abrasives","product_cat-sand-and-blend-discs","pa_arbor-in-1-2","pa_brand-walter","pa_diameter-in-523","pa_grit-n-a","pa_material-non-woven-abrasive","pa_packaging-description-10-in-a-pack","pa_packaging-description-10-per-box","pa_size-in-838","pa_used-to-sand-steel-or-stainless-or-aluminum","pa_width-in-1-2","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
