Designed to produce uniform, shadow-free finishes, this medium-grit drum is an essential accessory for fabricators working with stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other alloys. Manufactured in Germany, the Blendex drum utilizes advanced non-woven technology that provides a consistent cut rate and finish throughout the life of the product, ensuring that the last pass looks as good as the first.

Measuring 4-1/2 inches in diameter and 2 inches in width, this drum is perfectly sized for standard line finishing tools with a 5/8-inch arbor. The medium grit composition makes it highly versatile, capable of handling tasks ranging from light deburring and cleaning to blending and burnishing. Unlike traditional coated abrasives, the open structure of the Blendex material resists loading, which prevents heat buildup and warping on heat-sensitive metals like thin-gauge stainless steel or aluminum.

This drum is particularly effective for restoring finishes on food processing equipment, pharmaceutical tanks, and architectural railings where aesthetics are paramount. It excels at matching existing linear grain finishes (often referred to as #4 finish) and blending out weld discoloration or handling marks. The durability of the Walter Blendex material means fewer tool changes and lower consumable costs over time, making it a smart choice for high-volume production environments.

Key Applications

Stainless Steel Finishing: Creating or restoring linear satin finishes on railings, tanks, and countertops.

Aluminum Blending: Removing surface defects and preparing aluminum surfaces for anodizing or clear coating.

Alloy Polishing: Brightening brass and copper components without gouging the soft base metal.

Maintenance & Repair: Cleaning oxidation and rust from metal surfaces in MRO settings.

[2000,2007

post-1750621","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-abrasives","product_cat-drum-and-flap-wheels","pa_application-blending","pa_application-deburring","pa_application-line-finishing","pa_application-polishing","pa_arbor-in-5-8","pa_brand-walter","pa_dia-4-5","pa_diameter-in-4-5","pa_grit-364","pa_grit-medium","pa_packaging-description-1-per-each","pa_packaging-description-10-in-a-pack","pa_thickness-2831","pa_used-to-sand-aluminum","pa_used-to-sand-brass","pa_used-to-sand-copper","pa_used-to-sand-stainless","pa_used-to-sand-steel","pa_width-in-5656","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple

<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.6 -
