The Walter Surface Technologies TOPCUT™ Cloth Drum Belt (SKU: 07F511) is engineered for industrial metalworking professionals who demand consistency and durability in linear finishing applications. Measuring 5-3/8 inches in width and 11-5/8 inches in length, this belt is designed to fit standard drum sanders and burnishing tools used in fabrication shops. The 120 Grit abrasive composition is specifically selected for intermediate finishing tasks, such as correcting surface scratches, blending weld margins, and preparing surfaces for final polishing.

At the core of this product’s performance is the high-quality TOPCUT™ cloth backing. Unlike standard paper or lower-grade cloth belts, this material is built to withstand the torque and friction generated during heavy removal rates without stretching or tearing prematurely. This structural integrity is crucial when working on harder alloys like stainless steel, where consistent pressure is required to achieve a uniform grain depth. Furthermore, the belt incorporates Coolcut™ technology, an additive formulation that actively reduces heat generation at the point of contact. This feature is particularly vital for preventing heat tint and warping on thin-gauge sheet metal.

A standout technical feature of the 07F511 is its taped butt-joint construction. Traditional belts often use lap joints, which create a slight elevation or “bump” at the seam. In precision linear finishing, this bump can cause chatter marks or inconsistent scratch patterns with every rotation. The taped butt-joint eliminates this issue by joining the belt ends flush with a high-strength tape reinforcement on the underside. This ensures a perfectly smooth rotation, allowing for seamless line restoration and uniform blending across the entire workpiece. Whether used on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or non-ferrous metals like brass and copper, this belt delivers a professional-grade finish that meets rigorous industrial standards.

Walter® Cool Cut XX cloth drum belts will create or restore line finishes, level off small welds, round corners, remove deep scratches, etc.
[2000,2005

post-1750616","product","type-product","status-publish","product_cat-abrasives","product_cat-sand-and-drum-belts","pa_brand-walter","pa_grit-519","pa_length-11-5-8","pa_length-in-2102","pa_packaging-description-5-per-pak","pa_packaging-description-5-per-pk","pa_used-to-sand-metal-or-wood","pa_used-to-sand-steel-or-stainless-or-aluminum","pa_width-in-737","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
