The Walter Blendex Hand Pad (Maroon) is an essential consumable for industrial maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) environments. Designed to replace traditional steel wool, this non-woven abrasive pad provides a consistent, high-quality finish on a wide variety of metals including aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and brass. Unlike steel wool, the Blendex pad does not shed metallic fibers that can cause rust or contamination, making it a safer choice for sensitive food-grade or pharmaceutical applications.

Measuring 6 inches by 9 inches, this pad is sized perfectly for manual use, offering excellent flexibility to reach into corners, curves, and tight spaces. It is constructed from a durable nylon web impregnated with abrasive grain, ensuring that fresh abrasive is exposed as the pad wears. This results in a uniform finish from the first pass to the last. The maroon grade is designated for general-purpose applications, striking a balance between aggressive cleaning power and fine finishing capabilities.

For facility managers and procurement specialists, the 07A100 offers excellent longevity. The open-web structure resists loading and clogging, even when used on soft metals like aluminum. Furthermore, these pads are washable and reusable, allowing them to be cleaned with water or solvents and returned to service, thereby reducing overall consumable costs. Whether used for removing surface oxidation, light deburring, or preparing surfaces for coating, the Walter Blendex pad is a versatile tool for any workshop.
