The Hobart 610 is a high-performance AWS E6010 carbon steel stick electrode designed specifically for the rigorous demands of the pipe welding, construction, and shipbuilding industries. Engineered with a premium cellulose coating, this electrode delivers the deep penetration and forceful arc characteristics required for welding mild steel in all positions. It is particularly effective for root pass welding on pipe where consistent penetration and fusion are critical. The 3/32-inch (2.4 mm) diameter allows for precision in tighter joints and lower amperage applications.

Technical performance is a hallmark of the Hobart 610. It operates on Direct Current Electrode Positive (DCEP) and provides a spray-type arc that digs deep into the base metal. The quick-freezing weld puddle makes it an excellent choice for vertical-up, vertical-down, and overhead welding positions, giving the operator substantial control over the bead profile.
