The Harris Silicon Bronze TIG Rod (ERCuSi-A) is a premium copper-based filler metal designed for the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process. This 3.2mm (1/8") diameter rod is formulated with approximately 3% silicon and small amounts of manganese, which serve as deoxidizers to ensure sound, porosity-free welds. It is supplied in a durable 10lb tube, making it an economical choice for industrial fabrication shops, maintenance departments, and production environments requiring consistent high-quality consumables.

Silicon Bronze is renowned in the industrial sector for its versatility in joining copper, copper-silicon, and copper-zinc base metals to themselves and to steel. It is frequently employed in the chemical processing industry due to its excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against saline solutions and certain organic chemicals. Furthermore, this alloy is the standard choice for surfacing parts that are subject to corrosion, providing a protective overlay that extends the service life of critical components.
