It features a specially formulated wear resistant alloy that creates a uniform distribution of small primary carbides in a martensitic matrix. This unique composition delivers superior wear resistance compared to martensitic steel, tool steels, and conventional chromium carbide alloys. Additionally, the 964 AP-G exhibits excellent resistance to impact and plastic deformation. Carbon 300 stainless and manganese steels can expect crack-free deposits, while other base metals require appropriate preheating and post heating. Boasting high hardness and exceptional wear resistance, this product is ideal for parts where cross checking is not desired. Moreover, it offers superior weldability compared to chromium carbide and other tool steel welding wires. When it comes to technical specifications, the 964 AP-G operates at a current range of 150 - 280 Amp with a voltage range of 24 - 80. Shielding gas ratio is 75Ar / 25 CO2, and wire extension should be set between 1/2 to 3/4. Lastly, it can be used in any position, making it highly versatile.
