The Exocor ERNiCrMo-4 (commonly known as C-276) is a high-performance nickel-molybdenum-chromium MIG welding wire designed for the most demanding industrial environments. This .035-inch solid wire is engineered to weld base metals of similar composition, such as UNS N10276 (Hastelloy C-276), as well as for dissimilar welding applications involving nickel alloys, stainless steels, and low-alloy steels. Its chemical composition is strictly controlled to meet AWS A5.14 standards, ensuring consistent mechanical properties and weldability.

One of the defining characteristics of this alloy is its exceptional resistance to localized corrosion, including pitting and crevice corrosion, which are common failures in chloride-rich environments. The high molybdenum (15-17%) and tungsten content provide outstanding resistance to reducing media, while the chromium (14.5-16.5%) combats oxidizing media. This dual protection makes it the consumable of choice for welding components in chemical processing plants, pollution control systems, and waste treatment facilities where aggressive acids and chlorides are present.
