This 1/4-inch diameter electrode is formulated to deposit a high-chromium carbide overlay that significantly extends the service life of heavy equipment parts subject to grinding, gouging, and sliding wear. Packaged in a 50-pound carton, these electrodes are engineered for high deposition rates, allowing for efficient coverage of large surface areas. The weld deposit boasts a typical hardness of Rockwell C 55-60, providing a robust shield against abrasive media. The microstructure consists of primary chromium carbides in an austenitic matrix, which is the key to its exceptional wear performance.
