The CK Worldwide 300HS Heatshield is a critical consumable component designed for Series 3 TIG welding torches. Industry-standardized as the 18CG, this heatshield serves as the interface between the torch body and the ceramic gas cup (nozzle). Its primary function is twofold: it provides necessary electrical insulation to prevent the welding current from arcing to the nozzle, and it creates a mechanical seal to ensure shielding gas is directed entirely through the cup without leaking at the threads.
