By installing directly onto the torch inlet, the FBT-2 model ensures that any adverse flow dynamics are addressed immediately at the operator's hand, preventing volatile mixtures from entering the hose lines or reaching the regulator.

Each unit within this pair—one for oxygen and one for fuel gas—incorporates a sophisticated dual-safety mechanism. First, a spring-loaded reverse flow check valve automatically closes if downstream pressure exceeds upstream pressure, effectively stopping the backflow of gases that leads to dangerous mixing.
