At the core of this outfit is the ST900FC straight cutting torch, a tool renowned in the industry for its robustness and service life. Unlike combination torches, the ST900FC is a dedicated cutting instrument featuring a 90-degree head angle and a tube-in-tube design that maximizes strength while maintaining a balanced weight. It comes equipped with built-in flashback arrestors and reverse flow check valves, ensuring operator safety without the bulk of external add-ons.
Accompanying the torch are the ESS32 Series EDGE 2.0 regulators. These are not standard regulators; they represent a significant leap in gas control technology. The EDGE 2.0 series features a compact, single-stage design with a unique architecture that protects the internal components from external damage. The SLAM™ (Shock Limitation and Absorption Mechanism) knob absorbs impact energy in the event of a fall, protecting the regulator body and stem. The gauges are recessed and feature high-contrast faces for easy reading even in low-light conditions. The side-adjust knob promotes a safer operator stance when adjusting pressure.
This outfit is configured for Acetylene gas with CGA 540 (Oxygen) and CGA 300 (Acetylene) connections. Out of the box, it is ready to tackle a wide range of cutting tasks. While supplied with a standard cutting tip, the system has the flow capacity to support cutting steel up to 8 inches (203 mm) thick when equipped with the appropriate optional tips. While primarily a cutting outfit, the high-capacity regulators can also support heavy-duty welding or heating applications if paired with a separate welding handle and nozzles (sold separately).
