The Miller XR-A Aluma-Pro Plus (301575) is a high-performance, air-cooled push-pull MIG gun designed specifically for industrial aluminum welding applications. Engineered for exclusive compatibility with Miller MPa Plus wire feeders, this 15-foot gun addresses the unique challenges of feeding soft aluminum wires, such as the 4000 and 5000 series. With a robust output rating of 300 amps at 100% duty cycle (using CO2 gas), it delivers the power and reliability required for heavy-duty fabrication in sectors like shipbuilding, truck manufacturing, and rail transport.

This model features advanced design elements to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. The gun utilizes an aluminum-series-specific tension setting that ensures consistent wire delivery without deforming softer alloys. A 3-3/4 turn potentiometer located on the handle allows the operator to make precise wire feed speed (WFS) adjustments remotely, enhancing process control. The control is recessed to prevent accidental changes while remaining accessible with welding gloves.
