The Miller XR-Aluma-Pro Air (301568) is a premium 300-amp push-pull MIG gun designed specifically for the rigorous demands of industrial aluminum fabrication. Engineered to replace the legacy Miller 300000 model, this 15-foot air-cooled gun offers superior wire feeding performance for soft alloys. It is built to interface seamlessly with Miller's heavy-duty power sources, including the Millermatic 252, 255, 350P, 350P Aluminum, Multimatic 255, and XR-AlumaFeed units. The gun features a robust duty cycle of 100% with CO2 and 60% with mixed gases, ensuring consistent operation during extended welding sessions.

Precision Wire Feeding Technology

At the core of the XR-Aluma-Pro's performance is its ability to handle 4000 and 5000 series aluminum wires with exceptional stability. The gun utilizes aluminum-series-specific tension settings to prevent wire deformation and ensure smooth delivery at speeds up to 900 inches per minute. A 3-3/4 turn potentiometer provides high-resolution wire feed speed (WFS) adjustment, recessed to prevent accidental changes while remaining accessible to operators wearing welding gloves. The isolated, knurled drive roll design minimizes wear and downtime, contributing to lower overall operational costs.

Maintenance and Serviceability

Designed for the MRO environment, the XR-Aluma-Pro prioritizes ease of maintenance. It features a replaceable feed cable liner that can be swapped out without replacing the entire feed cable, significantly reducing parts costs and service time. The gun's full-length Velcro-seamed leather jacket protects the cable assembly from abrasion and spatter while allowing quick access for inspection.
