A defining feature of this component is its Coarse Thread (CT) design. Unlike slip-on nozzles that rely on friction springs, the 24CT-50S threads directly onto the gas diffuser or nozzle insulator—specifically the 34CT insulator found on Tweco® Professional No. 3 and No. 4 series MIG guns. This threaded connection provides a mechanically secure fit, eliminating the risk of the nozzle becoming loose or misaligned during operation, which can lead to porosity and inconsistent shielding gas flow.
