The Weldas 10-2385-XL Welding Gloves are engineered to address one of the most significant challenges in heavy industrial welding: radiant heat. In high-amperage MIG and Stick welding applications, or in foundry environments, standard leather gloves often become heat-soaked, leading to operator discomfort and reduced work time. These gloves solve this problem by incorporating an aluminized PFR (Probam Flame Retardant) Rayon back. This specialized material is capable of reflecting up to 95% of radiant heat, significantly reducing the thermal load transferred to the welder's hand. This feature makes the 10-2385 model an essential piece of PPE for professionals working near molten metal or high-intensity arcs.

While the back of the glove handles heat reflection, the palm is constructed from premium side split cowhide. Cowhide is the industry standard for heavy-duty welding due to its excellent balance of durability and grip. It provides the necessary abrasion resistance to handle rough metal, heavy torches, and sharp edges without compromising the glove's structural integrity. The combination of materials ensures that the glove protects against both the intense heat of the arc and the physical hazards of the fabrication environment.

Internally, the glove features a wool lining over the knuckles and back of the hand, providing an additional layer of thermal insulation where it is needed most. The palm is typically lined with cotton for comfort and moisture absorption. The entire assembly is stitched with Kevlar thread, ensuring that the seams withstand high temperatures and sparks without unraveling.
