The Weldas 44-2028-L is a premium-grade welding cape sleeve designed for professional industrial environments where heat resistance and durability are paramount. Part of the renowned Golden Brown™ line, this garment is constructed from select side split cowhide, a material chosen for its consistent thickness and ability to withstand the rigors of heavy-duty MIG and Stick welding. The leather is specially tanned to remain pliable, ensuring that the welder maintains a full range of motion while working in difficult positions.

Engineered for longevity, every seam on this cape sleeve is double-stitched using high-strength 3-ply Kevlar® thread. This ensures that the seams do not burn out or unravel when exposed to intense UV radiation, sparks, or direct heat. Critical stress points are further reinforced with rivets to prevent tearing during rigorous daily use. The cape sleeve design functions as a "half-jacket," covering the arms, shoulders, and upper chest while leaving the back open. This configuration significantly reduces heat stress by allowing for maximum ventilation, making it an ideal PPE choice for fabrication shops operating in warmer climates or for welders working long shifts.

This Large (L) unit features a snap-front closure system with dielectric insulated snaps for safety. It is designed to function as a modular system; the front edge is equipped with snaps to accept a detachable bib (available in 14-inch or 20-inch lengths, sold separately), allowing the user to customize the level of frontal protection based on the specific welding application. The collar is designed to stand up, providing essential protection for the neck against arc burn and flying spatter.
